Thanks, Joe, me too.  As if that was not enough, I had internet problems first thing this morning.  It just kept coming and going until it was finally gone.  Had to call the company and go through all the testing and checking to finally get things going again.  Seems to be OK now.

Loss of internet is *almost* as bad as loss of power.  Both are extremely annoying.

The hourly temps show we will stay a little above freezing through Saturday night. At 7am, it shows us at 33, and will drop to 32 at 8am. 9am shows us back at 34 degrees, so if that holds, we should be ok. Freezing rain is the thing that really scares me. It looks like maybe it won't happen here.  It is horrible when you get a major ice storm. I lived through one in the winter of 2000. Was out of power for 4 long days. Was never so happy to see those linemen working in my neighborhood. I treated them to hot chocolate, hot coffee, cookies and anything I could whip up on a charcoal grill. They were my heroes. The world is just full of Super Heroes. I honor them.

Foxy, I have been through many freezing rain storms.  They are certainly dangerous.  I got caught out away from home driving one time, and I had a horrible time getting home.  Something I hope to never experience again.

I have only known one like that, Joe, but the memory is forever embedded in my memory, and the thought of a repeat strikes fear in my heart.   I know that it can happen here and in your area as well, but I sure am glad it doesn't happen often.  I think now it is going to make its left turn and lift to the north sooner than was originally thought, and the worst will lift above you.   Hope that is how it happens.  It is going to be bad for Rich and Ruby in New York, and Bill in PA.  And of course, Cat, in Canada will suffer through the snow and cold.  It is a memorable time for sure.
