Date Posted:03/31/2014 2:05 PMCopy HTML When my daughter and her family bought a house, they brought the boy's swing set over here...Well, they aren't here much at all...so months and months ago I put ad in to sale it...A sweet family that moved here from TX came to see it...He is attending the University here in the health field...his wife and little girl...My daughter thought it wasn't very good swing set...but I did...and I felt it needed someone to play on and not just sit here...The sweet family asked if I could hold it for them...and they came and got it...He was so polite and he took it down piece by piece and knocked on my door and told me ty for keeping it for us...I know there will be great memories made on that swing...
We have looked and looked for the boys a swing set...Luke has always liked the one at Sam's...So with the money that Shane sold his boat, he bought it for the boys yesterday...Luke didn't even get out of his pjs all day...Kimberly said Levi didn't have a nap all day and he isn't feeling the greatest...They invited friends over and me to grill hamburgers...I so have been wanting a grilled hamburger...The swing set has already been worth it's cost....seeing them make memories is priceless....it's the little things... Last night after Levi had his bath, Luke was taking shower...He was so tired, no nap...He was sitting with me and his dad on the couch...He went to the back window and it was very dark...Shane and I both said at the same time...it is still out there LOL |

Re:New Adventures to be made Date Posted:05/01/2014 4:08 PMCopy HTML Thanks...
Yes, Pam they are very expensive...They sold their boat and this is the first thing they bought the boys...We have been pricing them for about 3 yrs...The small one that they had I sold it for 100.00 and that went towards this one...and it went to a sweet family that I know the little girl will get a lot of use out of it...It was at my house when Kimberly moved into her house... We have been pricing these for long time...They have some on the way to the coast that start at 1,000 and got up and really made well...that was our concern...The metal ones are too cheaply made and Kimberly cut her knee when she was little on her's...If you are ever near a Wal-mart or Lowe's the small one starts at 300.00...actually the one they got was 200.00 less than they use to be... Kimberly has always been a smart shopper just like Ashley...they will compare prices and the quality...Just like Ashley does when she books cruise, doesn't use a travel agent...she does it and compares prices...Just like we are going to family reunion on the 4th of July and there are only like 2 motels in the town lol...her dad said I am having my sister look for rooms...and Ashley no thanks Dad I will take care of it...she reads the reviews and compares prices...LOL even the one our nephew got in Monroe, La a Day's Inn...Ashley looked at the reviews and said ahemmmm mom I will keep looking lol... They have already gotten their money's worth out of this set...we have one Park in town and it is usually really busy and on the other side of town...They wanted something that the boys could make memories on...and they already have...I bought them a watermelon and they ate some up in the little fort and on the picnic table...their friends have gotten enjoyment out of it also...Kimberly and I could not believe the prices...but if we could have we would want the one that starts at 1,000 and up to beyond 3,000 because of the well built models...safety was first priority...but I do not know why they are so expensive...glad that they invested in this.... |
