The name refers to the former MSN chat room where a lot of us first met.  There were hundreds of MSN chat rooms, and they were numbered by people's age, for example "40s", where people in their 40s could talk to peers.  There were several chat rooms in the 40s group, all numbered, thus we gathered in chat room 40s5.  When MSN did away with their chat rooms, we created this group and named it after our favorite chat room.  Those were the days.  This group was EXTREMELY active at one time.   I should mention we first created this group in the MSN Groups, and then eventually MSN also did away with their groups, and we had to "migrate" to another server, namely Aimoo.

I was in GROUPBOX after some sites went down. Then GROUPBOX went down. Then I joined a site on FORUMOTION. Only guy with a bunch of women. I made BBC games there. Now people have spouses sick and dying, and leaving. I'm on 2 other AIMOO sites. In one nobody has the skill or desire to play my HTML games, and the other only one UK woman plays the games.

I taught myself HTML coding from looking at other people's headers. Then I learned BASIC, and a dozen other comp languages. The logic is the same in most languages, but the syntax is different. Like saying "pencil yellow" in French. In one language the command MOD is used, but in another % is used. I have to keep checking to see which one to use in the language I'm writing in.

Mod determines remainder .. 100 MOD 6 = 4 or 100 % 6 = 4 depending whether the error flag turns up  .. LOL

Dave, a friend of mine has a group on Pro Boards, which uses BBCode.  To me, that looks kind of the same as HTML, but I suspect it's different.  Are you familiar with BBCode?

Yes, one of my sites uses it. For the most part changing < > to [ ] is what it takes. CSS style is same, but image is vastly different and <a> becomes <url>. There is no newline code and the sucker puts in  a dozen new lines (ENTER) when you don't want it. I use a pic with everything transparent for a new line.

Yes, I read your message above.  A dozen computer languages?  Wow, I didn't even know there were that many!  Is there a way to post a message with a background image on BBCode?  Maybe with a frame around it?
