I know it is about that time, for your surgery to begin, Hope you slept well. They have probably already given you something to help you stay calm. Get back to us as soon as you can, and let us know you are OK. Hope this day is a good one, dear friend. I will hold you in my prayers. God Bless.

Didn't know you were having surgery Joe. Prayers that everything goes as planned. Is it serious?

Hey Cheese, he is having a repair on a previous hernia surgery that was no longer working.  Hope to hear from him before the day is over.

Sorry they had to do a remake on the old job, Joe.

Always a cheese-off when things go wrong, especially surgery.

Hope it turns out well!

Thanks Foxy, Mike, and Dave.  After the surgery I felt like a Mac truck had run over me.  So much dizziness I couldn't even stand.  The male technician had to dress me, as I was totally out.  Like a light.  Apparantly the surgery was a sucess.  I have hydrocodone pills for the pain, which I haven't needed yet, although the soreness/pain seems to be increasing a bit as the anesthesia wears off.  Doc wanted my sister or someone to stay the night with me, but she and I decided it wasn't necessary.  She stayed with me at home afterward for a few hours, fixed me something to eat.

Thanks again everyone.

I'm glad it's behind you, Joe.  After a few days of healing, and the pain and soreness go away, you ought to feel like a new man.  I hope so, anyway, and hope the fix will last forever.  Wishing you a great day.

Thanks Foxy!  Still not feeling noticeably better.  It's mostly when I get up from a sitting position or a lying position that I feel it worst.  Or when I have to cough.  Thankfully haven't had to sneeze yet, OMG.  I've done without auxiliary pain meds so far but was contemplating taking a pill a few minutes ago.

I think it's a little soon to be feeling much better, Joe.  Takes a little more time than that.  But I know, we want to feel better immediately.  Someday, it may work that way, but alas, it is not now.

Hope the pain subsides Joe. Maybe take the medication rather than suffering.

Morning Mike.  How are you?

Thanks, Mike.  I'm still hobbling around.  I did take a pain pill last night, maybe another one tonight.

Foxy, you're right.  The doctor said this one would take longer to get over than the first one, since they actually made an incision this time.  I'll just have to be patient.

Hope you are feeling better Joe. Maybe try some goat yoga. And, Foxy I am good. Very busy at work taking on a new role as testing lead.

Goat yoga?  Hmmm...

Still quite a bit of soreness and some pain.

That's great, Mike.  Congrats on your new role.  Hope it came with a nice raise in both pay and self-esteem.

Time is a great healer, Joe, so take all the time you need.  Good luck!  Hope it won't take too long.
