Good morning,

Starting later today and the rest of next week I am on vacation again. This time I am watching my three grandsons, 8, 6, and 4 while my son and daughter-in-law go on a skiing trip to Colorado. I most likely won't be posting at all. I imagine my time will be taken up playing with the grandkids and spoiling them rotten. The most likely scenario is that by the end of the week I will be worn out. My grandsons think I am a jungle gym to climb on and abuse but, I love it!

Hi Mike!

Grandkids are marvelous, aren't they?  I don't have any myself, but my friend Jerry has two, and they think the world of me.  The oldest, a boy, has just turned 14, and the youngest, a girl is 9. For the last few years, she has liked nothing better than to ride piggy-back on my back, lol.  She would commandeer me to walk around the yard and help her find bugs, or play tag, or help her climb a tree, lol.  She's almost to the age where all that is beneath her now, though.  And the boy, he lives and breathes fishing.  We've been fishing together a few times.  And then there was the time when the three of us went to the creek, wading and looking for crawfish.  You'd think a girl her age would be afraid of one, but no, after I showed her how, she handled it carefully to avoid getting pinched.

You have fun and enjoy the kids!  See you when you get back.

Well, they woke up at 5 am. I am up horsing around with them while my wife sleeps. Of course, Leo, the 6 year old has a special bond with my wife. He keeps asking me when is she getting up. I hope they don't wake up everyday at 5 am. Now that I think about it, I get up normally at 4:40 am to get ready for work. I am normally at work around 5:45 am. So... maybe this is about the same. Well, except for three energetic boys really early in the morning.  They don't have school on Monday. They do have school on Tuesday and Wednesday. The 4 year old stays home but, on Wednesday I have to drive him to daycare / preschool.

I had a blast with the grandsons. They say they funniest things. It was a busy week between taking them to baseball camp, pre-school, the Migration movie, skiing lessons, getting them ready for school, and taking them to an arcade. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the week with them.

Glad you had a good time.  I've seen that kids' movie, Migration, advertised. The young bird has to use the restroom and can't do it while flying. LOL.
