Date Posted:03/11/2025 2:29 AMCopy HTML Mike, I just got word that my good friend Jerry passed away today. His wife Cathy called me this afternoon with the news. He was my best friend in the world, having met about twenty years ago through a mutual hobby "Where's George". He had been fighting colon cancer for the past few years, and it finally got the best of him. As you know, he was an administrator in 40s5, (Jecakias) but hadn't been in here in a number of years due to a problem with signing in. He was also a member and administrator under the incognito name of "snilloc", which is his last name spelled backwards. He will be missed. Just wanted to let you know.

Re:Hey Mike Date Posted:03/19/2025 12:37 PMCopy HTML I am 65 now and I am retiring at the end of this year. But, when I see and hear people dying now at that age I think I might move up my retirement. We have had two close friends die recently, one was only 58 years old and the other 61. It does give me pause... |

Re:Hey Mike Date Posted:03/20/2025 1:40 AMCopy HTML Sorry to hear about the deaths. As I get older, I can't help to think about how much more time I have. I'd recommend you retire as soon as possible so you can enjoy life to the fullest. Spend time with your grandchildren. |

Re:Hey Mike Date Posted:03/20/2025 1:18 PMCopy HTML Joe,
I am financially very, very, very, well off. I could have retired years ago. I could retire today. However, I do like what I do for my job. I test complex computer systems and sit with customers while they perform the same tests that I have. It takes months to do all of the testing. When something doesn't work correctly the fun is figuring out what went wrong and how to fix it. |
